I have been a full-time author since 2022, the day I left my job as an automotive engineer for Toyota. I walked away with my first patent, as well as a winning award for the funding of a new safety device for women, currently in developmental research to be added to millions of vehicles in the near future.

My goal as an engineer had been completed. But my goal of helping women and being true to myself was not. I have been a published author since 2016, in writing critique groups since 2012, and it took ten years before I took the leap into the world of full-time authorship.

The turning point in my life was a traumatic life-threatening event, one that tossed me into a storm of survival, physical therapy appointments, and trauma therapy for my very real PTSD. After a year of EMDR therapy, I realized how Dark Romance can be so healing for those dealing with trauma. Which, really, is every human being. The concept was very simple: Relive traumatic events with a guardian figure. That sounds like a Dark Romance book to me.

I write books not only for entertainment, but also a purpose. My light fantasy books are my joy. My post-apoc thrillers are my excitement and hope for humanity to show good in the dark times. My romance, most of all, is my calling. My goal is to save marriages, rip off the shackles of cultural shame, and deal with the heavy issues and with the aspects of the human experience. Sometimes that takes the form of a 6ft vampire, but really, you're going to have to trust the process.
